It will be necessary for either you or your representative to be at home at the time of installation for payment, directions for replacing furniture and a signature of completion.

Remember this is the first time our installation team will be in your home.

It will be necessary for either you or your representative to be at home at the time of installation for payment, directions for replacing furniture and a signature of completion.

Make sure arrangements have been made for the installer to enter your neighborhood (gate passes, security, parking, elevators, service entrances)

Remove existing floor covering *

Remove all furniture and other items from the areas where the installation will take place. *

Make arrangements for oversized furniture (piano’s, waterbeds, modular furniture) toilets and appliances.*

Remove all breakables from the areas in and around the installation area. Remove pictures from the walls.

Empty china cabinets, items under the beds, bookshelves, and closets. If you are boxing up smaller items and breakables, the boxes will need to be removed from the installation area as well.

No item will be moved that is considered too heavy for two men to move without injury to themselves.

Please remember that our teams are professional flooring installers NOT professional movers.

Disconnect any electronics (computers, televisions, stereo equipment) ahead of time.

Make arrangements for pets and children to be out of the installation area as loud noises can frighten them and the doors will be opened and closed frequently during the installation.

Removal of existing flooring and placement of new flooring can cause scuffing on baseboards and minor scuffing on walls. Please note this is common and minimal touch up of paint could be required. This type of touch up is the responsibility of the homeowner.

Removal of existing flooring is an extremely dusty process. While our installation teams will do their best to minimize the effects of flooring removal, it is inherently a process that stirs up dust throughout your home. This will dissipate over time but may last for several days. You may want to take the time to cover upholstered furniture and other items that you have concern about ahead of time.

Loose, noisy or squeaky sub floors should be repaired prior to new flooring and arrival of installers.

Utilities - water and electricity must be turned on during installation. Installers cannot reconnect any gas lines. Please make arrangements with a plumber or qualified party to do so. Installers can reconnect water lines to toilets or appliances at the shut-off valve for each. Occasionally, there is an issue with the age or condition of the shut-off valve itself. Any repairs or replacement of the shut-off valve itself will be the responsibility of the homeowner to hire a plumber or qualified party.
