Installation Day Checklist

Top of clipboard

Refer to the pre installation checklist

Take note of any nicks, dings or damages on your walls, furniture, etc before the installation begins.

Be sure you or your representative is home to get the installers started, can make decisions if needed, and for completion inspection

Look at the product to ensure it’s what you ordered before the installation starts

Keep the temperature between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit

Keep children and pets away from the installation area

Every effort is made to detect sub floor conditions at the time of estimate. Due to the "hidden" nature of the floor by the current flooring, that is not always possible. If a problem arises we will stop work and notify you so that you can have suitable repairs made. Please make us aware of any past problems such as water leaks etc. that can affect the installation. If the installer can correct the sub floor issue, there will be an additional charge that will be discussed with you prior to the correction.

Floor Covering cannot be installed in damp or wet areas.

If quarter round or baseboards are removed or replaced, we cannot be responsible for breakage, chipping or scratching of moldings. Installers will replace it to the best of their ability for an additional charge.

If we are not the only people in the area during the installation, we recommend that you make arrangements to protect your valuables. While all our installation teams are licensed, bonded and insured, we cannot vouch for others that may have access to the same areas.

Inspect the installation area before the installer leaves the jobsite.

Call your salesperson with any changes, questions or concerns.

If you are sensitive to strong odors, make arrangements for fans to help ventilate the installation area.

Occasionally existing doors will need to be trimmed to provide for adequate clearance depending on the height of the new flooring installed. This would be the responsibility of the homeowner to coordinate.
